Author Terms & Policy
Introduction
Welcome to Webbytemplate.com, where creative professionals come together to share and sell high-quality
digital products. These Author Terms & Policy govern your participation as a vendor (referred to as an
Author) on our platform. By registering and submitting your work, you agree to comply with all conditions
outlined below, in addition to our general Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Eligibility Requirements
To become an Author on our platform:
- You must be at least 18 years of age
- You must provide accurate registration information during sign-up
- You must own full legal rights to any products you upload
- You must agree to our platform policies, including fair pricing, originality, and support obligations
Note: Valid tax documentation and other required details will only be requested at the time
of payout.
Commission Structure & Exclusivity
Exclusive Selling
Authors who choose to sell their products exclusively through our platform will receive 75%
share of the sale price for every product sold. This rewards loyalty to the platform while maximizing
value
for both the Author and our marketplace.
Non-Exclusive Selling
If an Author sells the same product on other marketplaces or platforms, their commission will be adjusted to
40% of the sale price, with our platform retaining the remaining 60%.
Important Notes:
- All commissions are calculated after deduction of applicable taxes and payment processing fees
- We reserve the right to monitor product listings and enforce exclusivity terms accordingly
- Repeated violations of exclusivity rules may lead to account suspension
Earnings & Withdrawals
Minimum Payout Threshold
Authors can request a payout once their accumulated earnings reach a minimum threshold of $100
USD.
Withdrawal Process
To process withdrawals, Authors must:
- Submit valid tax documentation
- Complete all necessary account verification steps
- Select a preferred payout method (PayPal, Stripe, etc.)
- Submit withdrawal request through the Author Dashboard
Holding & Processing Periods
All Author earnings are subject to:
- 7-day holding period after successful product sale (to accommodate potential refund requests)
- 7-day processing period for payout validation and completion
- Total cycle: 14 days before funds become eligible for withdrawal
Product Ownership & Responsibilities
Original Content Requirements
All submitted products must be:
- 100% original and fully owned by the Author
- Free from copyright, trademark, or licensing violations
- Free of malware or harmful code
- Accompanied by clear documentation and setup instructions
Quality Standards
Products must:
- Meet basic usability and design standards
- Include comprehensive documentation
- Be fully functional and complete
- Pass our quality review process before publication
Fair Pricing Policy
Authors must maintain consistent pricing across all platforms where they sell the same product.
Products
should not be listed at lower prices elsewhere, as this violates our Fair Pricing Policy.
Violations may result in:
- Commission adjustments
- Account penalties or suspension
- Product delisting
Support Responsibilities
Mandatory Support Period
All Authors are required to provide a minimum of 6 months of support from the date of
purchase, including:
- Installation assistance
- Usage guidance
- Bug fixes as per product description
- Minor customization help (if specified)
Response Requirements
Authors should respond to support requests within 24-48 hours through our ticketing system.
Non-Compliance Consequences
Failure to provide adequate support may result in:
- Negative product reviews
- Reduced credibility
- Temporary product or account suspension
- Refunds issued to customers
- Product removal from marketplace
Account Management
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate Author accounts for:
- Fraudulent activity
- Intellectual property violations
- Submission of false information
- Failure to adhere to exclusivity and pricing policies
- Non-responsiveness to support obligations
Earnings Impact
In cases of termination, we may withhold or reverse earnings, especially in events of customer chargebacks or
disputes.
Product Guidelines
Acceptable Products
Authors may submit:
- HTML/CSS templates
- UI/UX design kits (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
- JavaScript plugins or widgets
- Web components or dashboards
- Landing pages or email templates
- CSS frameworks or themes
- Other original, code-based or design-based digital products
Prohibited Content
Authors may not upload:
- Incomplete, non-functional, or broken products
- Content violating copyrights or intellectual property rights
- Files containing malware or suspicious scripts
- Products without full selling rights
- Duplicate or reused marketplace items
Review Process
All submitted products undergo manual quality review, including:
- Product originality verification
- Code quality and performance assessment
- Visual and design appeal evaluation
- Documentation accuracy review
- Proper file organization check
Policy Updates
We may update these Author Terms & Policy periodically. Authors will be notified of significant changes
through email or platform notifications. Continued participation following updates constitutes acceptance of
new terms.
