Download & Updates Policy

Effective Date: 20 May 2026

Last Updated: 20 May 2026

This Download & Updates Policy explains how download access, product updates, file availability, expired access, removed products, refunds, and related rules work on WebbyTemplate.

This policy applies to buyers, customers, authors, and users who purchase, download, access, update, or manage digital products through WebbyTemplate.

This Download & Updates Policy should be read together with WebbyTemplate’s Terms & Conditions, License Policy, Refund Policy, Support Policy, Author Terms & Policy, Privacy Policy, product page details, purchase details, Help Center articles, and any other applicable marketplace rules.

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using a product from WebbyTemplate, you agree to this Download & Updates Policy.

1. Overview

WebbyTemplate sells digital products such as templates, themes, UI kits, design assets, graphics, presentations, code-based products, plugins, illustrations, photos, and other approved digital items.

After a successful purchase, buyers may receive access to download the purchased product from their WebbyTemplate account, dashboard, purchase details page, or downloads area.

Download access, update access, support access, and license usage rights are related but separate.

Unless otherwise stated on the product page or applicable policy:

  • buyers receive 1 year of download access from the purchase date;
  • buyers receive 1 year of update access from the purchase date, where updates are available;
  • buyers receive 6 months of normal author support from the purchase date;
  • license usage rights are governed by the selected license type.

2. Download Access Period

Unless otherwise stated, buyers receive 1 year of download access from the purchase date.

The download access period begins on the original purchase date, not the first download date, installation date, project launch date, or first support request date.

During the valid download access period, buyers may download the purchased product from their WebbyTemplate account where the download is available and the account remains in good standing.

After the download access period expires, the buyer may lose access to download the product again from WebbyTemplate.

3. Update Access Period

Unless otherwise stated, buyers receive 1 year of update access from the purchase date, where updates are made available by the author or WebbyTemplate.

Update access means that if an updated version of the purchased product is released during the buyer’s valid update access period, the buyer may be able to download the updated version from WebbyTemplate.

Updates are not guaranteed for every product.

Some products may not receive updates after purchase, especially if no update is needed, the product is discontinued, the author is no longer active, or WebbyTemplate removes the product for legal, technical, security, quality, or marketplace reasons.

4. Updates Are Not Lifetime Access

WebbyTemplate does not provide lifetime update access unless a product page or written agreement clearly states otherwise.

The standard update access period is 1 year from the purchase date, where updates are available.

After update access expires, buyers may no longer receive new product versions from WebbyTemplate unless they repurchase, renew, upgrade, or receive an access extension where supported by WebbyTemplate.

5. Support Access Is Separate

Download access and update access are separate from author support.

Unless otherwise stated, buyers receive 6 months of normal author support from the purchase date.

Support may include reasonable help with product usage, included features, setup guidance, documentation, and valid product bugs, as explained in WebbyTemplate’s Support Policy.

After the support period expires, buyers may continue using the product according to the purchased license, but free author support is no longer guaranteed.

6. License Rights Are Separate

A license gives the buyer permission to use the purchased product according to the selected license type.

Download access, update access, and support access are time-based access benefits. They are separate from the buyer’s license rights.

When download access, update access, or support access expires, the buyer’s valid license for an already permitted final end product does not automatically end.

However, the buyer may need to repurchase, renew, upgrade, or obtain a new license if they need:

  • new downloads;
  • new updates;
  • additional support;
  • use beyond the purchased license limit;
  • access to a removed or unavailable product where access is no longer provided.

7. After Download Access Expires

After the 1-year download access period expires, buyers may lose the ability to download the product again from WebbyTemplate.

This means buyers should download and safely store their purchased files during the valid download access period.

WebbyTemplate may choose to extend access, restore access, or provide alternative access in some cases, but this is not guaranteed unless clearly stated by WebbyTemplate.

If a buyer needs access after the download period expires, they may need to repurchase the product or purchase a new license where available.

8. Already Downloaded Files

If a buyer downloaded the product during the valid download access period, the buyer may continue using those downloaded files after download access expires, as long as:

  • the buyer has a valid license;
  • the product was not refunded;
  • the payment was not reversed;
  • the product is used within the purchased license limit;
  • the product is not used in a prohibited way;
  • the buyer follows WebbyTemplate’s License Policy and other applicable rules.

Expired download access does not automatically require the buyer to remove an already licensed final end product.

9. Buyer Backup Responsibility

Buyers are responsible for downloading and safely backing up purchased product files during the valid download access period.

WebbyTemplate recommends that buyers keep secure backups of:

  • original downloaded ZIP files;
  • documentation files;
  • license or purchase records;
  • customized project files;
  • update versions where needed;
  • invoices or purchase details.

WebbyTemplate is not responsible for loss of files caused by buyer device failure, accidental deletion, expired download access, account issues, third-party storage problems, or failure to maintain backups.

10. Product Versions

Product updates may replace, modify, or improve earlier versions.

WebbyTemplate does not guarantee that older versions of a product will always remain available after an update is released.

Authors or WebbyTemplate may remove older versions for reasons such as:

  • bug fixes;
  • security issues;
  • file corrections;
  • compatibility improvements;
  • outdated files;
  • product quality;
  • legal concerns;
  • marketplace management.

Buyers should back up any version they need before replacing or modifying project files.

11. What Product Updates May Include

Product updates may include:

  • bug fixes;
  • security fixes;
  • compatibility improvements;
  • documentation updates;
  • file corrections;
  • design improvements;
  • minor feature improvements;
  • code improvements;
  • updated dependencies;
  • updated templates or assets.

The exact content of an update depends on the product, author, product category, and marketplace requirements.

Updates do not automatically include custom development, custom design work, new features requested by an individual buyer, full redesigns, installation services, or buyer-specific changes.

12. Updates Are Not Guaranteed for Every Product

Authors are expected to provide updates when reasonably required for critical issues, such as:

  • broken files;
  • major bugs;
  • serious product defects;
  • security issues;
  • major compatibility problems;
  • incorrect documentation that materially affects use.

However, WebbyTemplate does not guarantee that every product will receive updates forever or that every buyer request will result in an update.

Future compatibility with every software version, browser, device, plugin, hosting environment, framework, or third-party service is not guaranteed.

13. Product Removed or Disabled After Purchase

A product may be removed, disabled, paused, or made unavailable after purchase.

This may happen for reasons such as:

  • author request;
  • product quality concerns;
  • outdated files;
  • low marketplace suitability;
  • repeated buyer complaints;
  • support issues;
  • copyright or intellectual property complaints;
  • legal concerns;
  • malware or security issues;
  • fraud or suspected fraud;
  • policy violations;
  • technical or operational reasons.

If a product is removed or disabled, previous buyers may keep access only where legally, technically, and operationally possible.

WebbyTemplate may limit or cancel downloads, updates, support, or product access if the product was removed due to copyright, legal, fraud, malware, security, or serious policy reasons.

14. Product Removal Does Not Always Cancel the License

If a product is removed from WebbyTemplate after purchase, a buyer’s existing valid license may continue for an already permitted final end product, unless WebbyTemplate states otherwise.

However, continued use may not be allowed if the product was removed because of:

  • copyright or intellectual property infringement;
  • legal violation;
  • malware or security risk;
  • fraud;
  • court order;
  • government request;
  • serious policy violation;
  • another issue that makes continued use unsafe or unlawful.

Product removal may also affect future downloads, updates, and support availability.

15. Refund Impact on Downloads and Updates

If a buyer receives a refund for a product, the buyer’s rights to use that product end according to WebbyTemplate’s Refund Policy and License Policy.

After a refund, WebbyTemplate may cancel:

  • download access;
  • update access;
  • author support access;
  • license rights;
  • account-based access to the refunded product.

After a refund, the buyer must stop using the product, delete downloaded files, and stop using any source files, templates, assets, or code from the refunded product.

16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If a buyer opens a payment dispute, chargeback, payment reversal, or fraud claim, WebbyTemplate may suspend or restrict access while the matter is reviewed.

This may include suspension of:

  • downloads;
  • updates;
  • support;
  • license access;
  • account access;
  • product access;
  • future purchases.

If the payment is reversed, cancelled, refunded, or not successfully completed, the buyer’s product access and license may be cancelled.

Using a product after refund, chargeback, payment reversal, or cancelled license may be considered unauthorized use.

17. Failed, Interrupted, or Corrupted Downloads

If a download fails, is interrupted, or results in a corrupted file during the valid download access period, the buyer should contact WebbyTemplate or create a support request where available.

WebbyTemplate may help with:

  • checking account access;
  • verifying the purchase;
  • confirming download eligibility;
  • reviewing download link issues;
  • checking file availability;
  • asking the author to review product files;
  • providing guidance where appropriate.

If the product file itself is defective, incomplete, corrupted, or materially unusable, the issue may be reviewed under WebbyTemplate’s Refund Policy and Support Policy.

18. Download Abuse and Restrictions

WebbyTemplate may restrict, suspend, or cancel download access if misuse or abuse is suspected.

Download abuse may include:

  • sharing account login details;
  • sharing download links;
  • automated downloads;
  • scraping;
  • excessive suspicious downloads;
  • downloading after refund;
  • downloading through unauthorized methods;
  • redistributing files;
  • uploading files to file-sharing websites;
  • reselling downloaded products;
  • bypassing access controls;
  • using bots or scripts to access files;
  • violating WebbyTemplate’s License Policy or Terms & Conditions.

WebbyTemplate may take action to protect authors, buyers, products, and the marketplace.

19. Account Access and Download Eligibility

Downloads are generally available through the buyer’s WebbyTemplate account.

A buyer may lose or have limited download access if:

  • the download period has expired;
  • the product was refunded;
  • the payment was reversed;
  • the account is suspended;
  • the product was removed for serious reasons;
  • the buyer violates WebbyTemplate policies;
  • the order cannot be verified;
  • the product is no longer legally or technically available.

Buyers are responsible for keeping their account details secure and accurate.

20. File Security and Safe Use

Buyers should use safe practices when downloading, storing, and installing digital products.

Buyers should:

  • download products only from official WebbyTemplate access areas;
  • avoid using unofficial or pirated copies;
  • scan files where appropriate;
  • keep backups;
  • follow product documentation;
  • avoid installing files from unknown sources;
  • report suspicious files to WebbyTemplate.

If a buyer believes a product contains malware, harmful code, or unsafe files, the buyer should contact WebbyTemplate immediately.

21. Author Responsibilities for Product Files and Updates

Authors are responsible for uploading accurate, complete, safe, and usable product files.

Authors should update products when reasonably required for:

  • broken files;
  • security issues;
  • major bugs;
  • major compatibility issues;
  • serious documentation issues;
  • product defects that materially affect normal use.

Authors must not upload malware, harmful code, unauthorized tracking, stolen content, or files they do not have the right to distribute.

WebbyTemplate may review, reject, remove, replace, or disable product files where necessary.

22. Third-Party Assets and Dependencies

Some products may include or require third-party assets, fonts, plugins, libraries, frameworks, tools, or external services.

Updates to WebbyTemplate products may not include updates to every third-party dependency.

Third-party assets or services may have their own:

  • licenses;
  • update schedules;
  • fees;
  • account requirements;
  • compatibility rules;
  • usage restrictions;
  • support policies.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing and following any third-party terms that apply to their use.

WebbyTemplate does not guarantee that third-party services, plugins, tools, or dependencies will remain available, free, compatible, or unchanged.

23. Demo Content and Preview Assets

Product previews may show demo content, placeholder images, fonts, icons, stock photos, videos, or sample materials.

Unless the product page or documentation clearly says otherwise:

  • demo images may be for preview purposes only;
  • placeholder content may need to be replaced;
  • fonts may require separate licensing;
  • third-party plugins or tools may require separate purchase;
  • preview assets may not be included in the download package.

Buyers should review the product page, documentation, and included files carefully.

24. Manual Access Extensions

WebbyTemplate may, at its discretion, manually extend download access, update access, or support access in limited cases.

Manual extensions are not guaranteed and may depend on:

  • account status;
  • purchase verification;
  • product availability;
  • legal limitations;
  • technical availability;
  • author status;
  • marketplace policies;
  • support history;
  • refund or chargeback status.

A manual extension for one buyer or one order does not mean WebbyTemplate must provide the same extension to others.

25. No Guarantee of Continuous Availability

WebbyTemplate works to provide reliable product access, but digital files and platform access may not always be available without interruption.

Access may be affected by:

  • maintenance;
  • hosting issues;
  • technical errors;
  • security reviews;
  • payment review;
  • account restrictions;
  • product removal;
  • author changes;
  • legal or copyright complaints;
  • service provider downtime;
  • force majeure or events outside WebbyTemplate’s control.

WebbyTemplate may restore access where reasonably possible, but continuous availability is not guaranteed.

26. Help Center

WebbyTemplate may publish download guides, update explanations, product access instructions, support guidance, refund explanations, and license help articles in the Help Center.
