Connect AI Assistants Directly to Odoo

Odoo MCP Connection provides a controlled Model Context Protocol connection between Odoo and AI applications. Instead of creating a separate custom integration for every AI assistant, approved MCP clients can use exposed Odoo capabilities according to the users, models, fields, domains and operations you allow.

The product is designed for teams that want AI access to live Odoo business data while retaining control over authentication, permissions, write operations and auditing.

Supported Odoo Versions & Editions

Odoo MCP Connection is available for Odoo 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. Both Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise are supported.

These capabilities allow approved AI clients to do more than simple record lookup. Depending on permissions, they can inspect models, retrieve business information and perform structured analytics across accessible Odoo data.

Create, Update & Delete Controls

Odoo MCP Connection supports create, update and delete operations. For safer deployment, delete is disabled by default. Administrators can begin with a conservative permission model and enable more powerful actions only when they are required.

Granular Permission Controls

AI access should not automatically mean unrestricted Odoo access. Odoo MCP Connection provides controls across:

App → Model → Field Allowlist → Domain Filter → CRUD

• Choose which Odoo applications are available.
• Restrict access to approved models.
• Allow only selected fields to be returned.
• Use domain filters to narrow which records are available.
• Control read, create, update and delete actions independently.

MCP activity operates through the assigned Odoo user, helping existing Odoo permissions remain part of the access model.

Use controlled bearer tokens to authenticate approved MCP clients.

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE is supported for clients that require an authorization flow. HTTPS is required when OAuth is used.

Data Privacy

Data path: AI Client ↔ Your Odoo Instance

There is no WebbyCrown or WebbyTemplate relay server placed between the MCP client and the customer’s Odoo instance. OpenAI, Anthropic or other AI-provider credentials are not required inside the Odoo module; provider credentials remain with the AI client. The module does not send external telemetry.

Audit Logs & Governance

The module includes audit visibility for MCP activity. Default audit retention is 7 days and is configurable. Auditability is particularly useful when MCP clients can perform write operations or access sensitive business models.

Rate Limiting & Access Protection

Production-governance controls include configurable rate limiting, IP access controls, token-based access, OAuth authorization, user-linked permissions, field restrictions and domain restrictions. Redis is optional and can be used for multi-worker rate-limiting scenarios.

Supported Odoo Models

There is no fixed list of supported business models. The connection can work with Odoo models that the configured user and token are permitted to access. Potential use cases include CRM, Sales, Contacts, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, Projects, Helpdesk, HR, Marketing and custom Odoo modules.
