The demo images are imported into the WordPress Media Library through the optional demo importer.

Important: WooCommerce and Contact Form 7 must be installed separately. External payment services, hosting, email delivery services, and shipping integrations are not bundled with the theme.

How to Use Terrafolk

Step 1: Prepare Your WordPress Website

Install WordPress on a compatible hosting environment.

Confirm that your WordPress, PHP, and WooCommerce versions meet the requirements for your intended setup.

Sign in to the WordPress administrator dashboard.

Result: Your WordPress website is prepared for Terrafolk installation.

Step 2: Install and Activate Terrafolk

Download the complete Terrafolk product package.

Extract the outer archive before installing the theme.

Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add Theme > Upload Theme in WordPress Admin.

Upload the inner terrafolk-1.53.0.zip file and activate the theme.

Result: Terrafolk becomes the active WordPress theme.

Step 3: Install and Configure WooCommerce

Install WooCommerce separately through WordPress Admin.

Complete the initial store setup, including business location, currency, payment methods, taxes, shipping, and customer account settings.

Result: Your website has WooCommerce functionality for managing products, carts, checkout, and orders.

Step 4: Install Optional Companion Plugins

Open the plugins folder from the extracted Terrafolk package.

Install only the optional plugins needed for your store, such as Wishlist, Compare, Quick View, or Storefront functionality.

If required, install Contact Form 7 separately from the WordPress plugin directory.

Result: Your store has the additional shopping features you choose to enable.

Step 5: Import a Terrafolk Homepage Demo

Install and activate the optional Terrafolk Demo Importer.

Navigate to Appearance > Import Demo Data.

Select one of the four available homepage demos: Home 01, Home 02, Home 03, or Home 04.

Choose the content you want to import. Homepage assignment and other page assignments are optional.

The importer can add sample products, variations, galleries, Journal content, and demo images.

Result: Your website has an editable Terrafolk demo layout and selected sample content.

Step 6: Customize the Website Design

Open Appearance > Editor in WordPress Admin.

Use the WordPress Site Editor to customize page layouts, templates, headers, footers, navigation, colors, and typography.

Edit the Gutenberg blocks and reusable patterns to reflect your brand.

Result: Your online store uses a customized design suited to your products and visual identity.

Step 7: Add Products and Collections

Use WooCommerce to create or update products.

Enter product names, descriptions, images, prices, categories, attributes, stock information, and relevant variations.

Configure variation buttons and color swatches where applicable.

Organize products into suitable collections and categories.

Result: Customers can browse your real products through the Terrafolk storefront.

Step 8: Update Business and Editorial Content

Replace sample brand information, product descriptions, and demo imagery.

Customize the Our Story, Journal, Delivery & Returns, Care Guide, FAQ, Contact, Privacy Policy, and Terms pages.

Publish relevant content about your materials, products, craftsmanship, and brand.

Result: Your website displays accurate business information and product-related editorial content.

Step 9: Configure Contact Forms and Store Services

If using Contact Form 7, configure the form's Mail settings and remove demo_mode: on before testing real email delivery.

Set up payment gateways, shipping methods, taxes, and transactional email services.

Test any enabled Wishlist, Compare, Quick View, and live search features.

Result: Your store's commerce and communication services are configured for real use.

Step 10: Review and Launch Your Store

Review the website on desktop and mobile devices.

Test product pages, variations, filters, search, cart, checkout, customer accounts, and order-related workflows.

Check the imported content, product images, prices, policies, contact form, payment settings, and transactional email configuration.

Complete appropriate test orders before accepting live purchases.
